The 2015 Father-Son Campout was Friday, June 19th to Saturday, June 20th on Gilman Island on the Connecticut River. About sixty men and boys canoed to the island to camp for the night. The boys enjoyed paddling canoes around the island and playing in the river. Everyone enjoyed dinner cooked over the campfire, making s’mores, and a message by Don Willeman. Many men stayed up late around the campfire. Everyone enjoyed a night sleeping in the fresh air, some in a tent, others on the ground by the fire.
After an early morning breakfast, some enjoyed swimming in the river, others went fishing and then all paddled back up river to return home.
