In the opening pages of his gospel, the apostle John identifies Jesus as the Word, the Message, that is synonymous with God. Just listen to him for yourself.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
A few verses later He gives us the first great miracle of the Christian Faith, the incarnation.
“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
This passage is beyond rich and there is much that we could mine from it. But there is at least one thing that we must not miss. All of what God is has come to us in human form in Christ. Jesus is the definitive Word on God from God. In that little bundle of joy born that first Christmas morn we not only have a message from God, but the fullness of God Himself.
Something to think about from “The Kingdom Perspective.”
