Our youth programs are distinctively gospel-centered. The Sunday School classes and outreach programs are not merely concerned with producing “good kids” but rather spiritually-alive kids; kids who passionately love Christ and serve others.
In addition to participation in the main aspects of our congregational life (weekly worship, small groups, Sunday School, etc.), we have social, outreach and service events, as well as retreats, designed specifically for teens. See the sidebar for the next Youth Ministry Events. You can view all the upcoming events in the Children & Youth Category of the Events Calendar. Below is a description of some of our regular events.
Jr. and Sr. High Bible Studies
Throughout the school year, Jr. and Sr. High Bible Studies meet regularly.
Specific dates and times are on the Children & Youth Category of the Events Calendar. If you are interested in attending or finding out more information, contact Chris Audino or the Church Office.
The youth have the opportunity to participate in a number of retreats throughout the year. Each summer the youth participate in a multiple-night retreat. We also have weekend retreats at other times of the year.
Our annual Summer Youth Retreat was Sunday August 7th through Friday, August 12th, 2016 in Ocean City, New Jersey. More info.
Our 2015 and 2014 Retreats in Ocean City were great times of friendship, fun and learning. See photos and reflections from the previous retreats in Ocean City here.
Some of the students shared their reflections on the retreat at church in the following weeks. You can listen to what they shared under the Stories section of our CRC Audio Archive. Look for Youth Retreat Testimonies.
CRC Service Trips
Youth are welcome participants on our annual service trips. We believe that these opportunities to serve help youth broaden their view of the world and share in God’s compassion for His people. Our February 2015 Service Trip was to World Impact School in Newark New Jersey. In February 2013 and February 2014, CRC sent a team of adults and youth (6th grade and above) for a Service Trip to Long Island, New York to help with repairs from Hurricane Sandy. To read about the 2014 trip and the 2013 trip.
