Inclement Weather Cancelation Policy

When the worship service is cancelled due to bad weather, the cancellation will be communicated as follows:

  • An email will be sent to the entire CRC Email List* by 6:30 am.
  • The CRC webpage and app will be updated by 7:00 am.

Even if the service is not cancelled, please use your own best discernment, as to whether it is wise for you to travel. If the weather conditions where you live prohibit your attendance and you are scheduled to serve that morning, please email the church office as soon as you are able (preferably before 7:30 am) so that we can make other arrangements.

For all other events an email will be sent to participants. If you have any questions, contact the leader of that particular ministry or group.

*If you would like to be added to the church email list, please contact the church office.

Listening to the Sermon from Home

For those who are unable to join us, we will continue recording the sermon each week and posting it as soon as possible after the service. Typically, the sermon is available online and on the CRC app by 12:30 pm on Sunday.

Prior to Resuming Indoor Services

CRC first resumed in-person worship services outside. Beginning on July 12, 2020 we met outside at Storrs Pond and later at Storrs Hill. Although the outdoor setting allowed for significant space between households, masks and social distancing were required. We continued outdoor services until early-October when we moved indoors due to the colder weather.

Before it was safe to resume services in person, all were invited to participate in Sunday worship through an online Home Worship Guide. These guides were published each week through July of 2021 for those unable to join our in-person gathering. Although the guides have now been discontinued, you can visit our Home Worship Guide archive here.

Prior to the pandemic, CRC met for weekly worship at Hanover High School.
