Summer Youth Retreat 2012
The 2012 Youth Retreat took place at Storrs Pond in Hanover, NH from Monday, July 9th through Saturday, July 14th. There were 110 campers from Christ Redeemer Church and several other churches from Vermont and Maine. The week included daily Bible study, nightly talks, swimming in the White River, a community service day, a pizza party on the Green, skits on Friday afternoon, volleyball, swimming, card games, and other fun. Photos and details about the community service day are here.
The theme of the week’s studies and talks was based on the theme verse from Romans 12:2, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” The talks discussed how we all fall short of God’s law, the work Jesus has done on our behalf, and the transforming power of the gospel.
On the Sunday following the retreat campers shared reflections on the impact of the week on themselves and others. You can listen to what they shared
